Getting Ready

Just over one week to go until we leave for China! We are counting the days until next Sunday and Lee is helping by cutting the paper chain links one day at a time. Okay, if we don't watch him carefully he gets a little ahead of himself.

Katie's dad stopped by last weekend for a short visit. We had a little trouble finding gas, but had no problems finding a mechanic. Dan brought some of Katie's furniture from her room as a little girl that we are repainting and getting ready for Francie's room. It's starting to look better, but there may be more paint on Katie, Lee, and me than on the wardrobe.

Francie's Room

We are working to get Francie's room ready for her. We've been used to decorating with trucks, but are trying to find something a little more feminine. I just realized that we don't have many pictures, but here is one of part of her bed. We can't take any more pictures because the bed is currently covered with hand-me-down clothes from a variety of sources. Keep them coming!

Travel Arrangements

We had another week with more news regarding our travel. We will leave on October 5th, get Francie on the 8th, and return after all of the paperwork is completed on the 17th. It is three weeks away, but Lee is ready to go. He packed a few toys, lots of books, and has his toothpaste ready but knows he needs it before we leave.
