Are Fortune Cookies Right?

I just posted the last message and went back to the website to be sure that it posted correctly. While there I checked my fortune and look what it said about our travel tomorrow. Ugh!

We are off to go cherish our few hours of grace with our two snoring little ones. Good night.

  1. That is way too Funny!!!
I wish I could meet you at the airport but I will be in Missouri. Francie looks like she has already put on a little weight. Don't you love how quickly they adapt to food and just fill their little bodies. She is just so beautiful and fits in perfectly. I am still in awe of Lee and I just can't wait to see him next time and tell him how proud I am of him. Safe travels.

  2. Hey guys, Greetings from SoCal. Congratulations on the latest addition to your family. Leah says to tell Lee hello and he is lucky to have a sister. (I think that part was a hint directed at me.) She wants to know how her fish are doing.

    All the best,
    Jenifer Weigand & Leah

  3. Hi Ms. Katie and Randy and fam--I am so thrilled that you guys are on your way home. We can't wait to meet little Francie. This is random, I know, but my friend Kat Lewis (college friend) who lives in LA has been reading your blog (she is on the waitlist for TWO Ethiopian children to adopt, hopefully sometime this fall or winter) because she is addicted to adoption blogs in general and thought yours was fun to read since you guys were my friends. Well, she left a vm message for me today saying that she noticed that you guys have a long layover at LAX and she would be not only happy to, but thrilled, to come pick you up at the airport and do something in LA for the day (or just go back to her house and regroup), should you want to get the kids out of the airport. If you want to, please take her up on this. She would love to meet you and would feel like it's good karma towards her own adoption story, I'm sure. I sent her phone #s and email to Katie's yahoo account and to facebook if you guys want to call her. Like I said, don't for a minute feel weird about calling her up as a stranger--she doesn't have a job right now while waiting on the babies, and she would completely welcome the diversion. Meanwhile, welcome back to the land of Grits! xoxo, autumn
